Glad to hear it. Now, there's some other problem right? With that guy on Carnelian. Do you know where it is and how to fix it?

[His look darkens. Subtly. Ace is probably very familiar with this sort of reaction.]

"You'll find him by the maze. I hope you have better luck than us in dealing with him."

Oh yeah? What's he like?

[hunting]

"It's nothing about him personally. It's what he is. We can't affect a change like that. The key's intangible to us like this."

So I get the key from him somehow and...you can take care of it? Or should I just play it by ear?

"Getting rid of him too wouldn't be too bad an idea..."

Ace will find some Carnelian dude not actually inside the maze but wandering around the entrance. Actually, he looks really confused about where he is and keeps looking around a lot. :|a]

[Sure does appear to be something red and sparkling near his chest.

He blinks at Ace and nods.]

[wandering over, keeping his body language casual]

Well, that won't do. Where'd you come from?

[He looks even more perplexed and then reaches into his pocket and pulls out an empty glass vial and pantomimes drinking it before shrugging sheepishly.]

That definitely sounds like a problem.

[where is the key on him, is it outside his clothes or...?]

[hunting]

[Probably underneath his shirt. It just happens to glow.

Crown scratches at the back of his head...

You should give me that key, though. I know where it goes. Maybe putting it back will give us a clue to where you'r supposed to be.
