[You feel a tug, insistent, demanding and desperate. Powerful enough that it seems it intends to rip you out of existence itself. And there is sensation of a barely restrained exasperated breath echoing in your ears you're taking too long, idiot...

Then it suddenly stops, the halted motion launching you face-first into a giving surface.]

[s-stops when he sees the bodies, trying to discern who they belong to]

[Sure looks like Dragonfly, Mouse, Canary and Nightingale. They've all had their hearts ripped out.]

[moves forward, not looking at any of the other bodies]

[Oh yeah, I should also mention those bodies were also TERRIBLY BURNED.]

[As you enter the Ring, you notice that it is entirely surrounded by the ghostly figures of every Personae, all of them looking disdainful or menacing. You feel a great rage building in you...

The second thing you'll notice is the large silver wolf partially-chained to the center of the Ring. The chain seems unusually strong, even as the wolf lunges desperately against it, driving a thick metallic collar deep into its throat. The wolf chokes with each lunge, clawing at the ground with its powerful paws and straining every muscle as much as it can. Its blood red eyes glow with desperation and fury. The wolf is scarcely more than a mass of ugly wounds and though it barely stand on its trembling legs and abused body, it never stops snapping and trying to get at the even larger black wolf in the distance in front of it.

This wolf is also sporting red eyes and seems to be made of the Darkness itself. It laughs with a gloating male voice as it lunges toward Ruka, who is running toward a wall of threads with a young Zero. The black wolf is also bleeding from the shoulder and the chest, and though the silver wolf can't reach it, the black wolf's movements are slightly stilted.

The thread wall glows bright purple, with Zero's symbol emblazoned in the center. There is also some object in the center of the threads.

Oh, and there is also a man in a red coat standing nearby and wearing a mask.

But amid all this chaos, you might almost miss that your hunger has risen significantly. You are probably feeling extremely unwell.]

[halts short, hand flying to his stomach. . . but even as he winces with hunger, he's far more interested in the scene in front of him]

[and far more interested and keeping Snow from getting chewed on by that black wolf, too]

[He reacts, free hand going to the knife in his belt, and calls out]

-- HEY!

[Wolf ignores you. IT WANTS SNOW.

The silver wolf howls desperately and throws itself forward on its weak chain!]

[curses, then rushes towards the silver wolf, ignoring everything else about the scene]

Hey! If I let you go will you help him?!

[Ace draws a gun from out of hammerspace.]

"Not a good idea."

[skids to a halt when that happens, still some distance from the wolf]

What, so I'm supposed to let that one get Snow?!

[Glances at the silver wolf, though there is a sense of regret in his eyes.]

"If you want to be useful, try being more creative. Or does releasing things in a heart usually work for you?"

Oh, sure, why not then? It's not hard to be more useful than a guy who isn't trying to keep Snow from being eaten!

[FINE THEN just darts for the black wolf again, trying to get its attention :(]

Hey! Ugly!

[Still doesn't care about you~

Silver wolf has managed to half-strangle itself in its efforts and crumples to the ground with a whine, defeated but still growing. :E]

[noooo why DX]

. . . [to Ace] If I'm not supposed to let him go, then what does he represent?

"Try using your eyes."

[Also, Ruka has vanished, leaving behind a child Zero. And it feels like healing abilities are back on.]

[YOU ARE SO UNHELPFUL HEART ACE 8( but darts over to the bitty Zero once Ruka's gone]

Hey--

[Looks up at you, SO CONFUSED and anxious.]

"He's going to be worried..."

[crouches down in front of him]

Who is?

[also keeping an eye on the black wolf as he does so]

"Thorn..."

[Ace notices you two and gives the child a reassuring wave before coming over there...]

. . . should we take you back to him?

[The child appears unsure. Ace interrupts you to glide over and reach out a hand to ruffle the child's hair.]

"I'll keep an eye on him."

[The child also looks up at Ace uncertainly.]

[. . . also eyeing Ace uncertainly. then, to the child]

Will you be okay staying with him?

"... I can?"

You don't sound so certain about that. . .
