[You feel a tug, insistent, demanding and desperate. Powerful enough that it seems it intends to rip you out of existence itself. And there is sensation of a barely restrained exasperated breath echoing in your ears you're taking too long, idiot...

Then it suddenly stops, the halted motion launching you face-first into a giving surface.]

[When you recover, the first thing you'll notice is a sharp, coppery scent. The second thing is that ground you crashed into is actually a bed of soft moss. It expands into a massive circle around you and is hedged by thick walls of thorns on three sides. The thorns on the remaining side appear dead and brittle and there is a large jagged opening, as if someone has hacked violently through the wall. The tiniest growth of fresh, green thorns is also visible at the bottom of the wall, though it's obvious that it will be a long time before they will be of any significant.

It also appears that something has been carved into the moss, though you'll probably have to back up to see it better.

Through the forced opening, you can see a long river of thick, red liquid.

Oh, and one more thing. There is this strange, tickling sensation in the back of your throat. But that's probably nothing, right?]

AATHER

[You'll immediately notice the area around you as Aather. Or rather a hodgepodge of elements from various realms. There's the Hall of Doors from Wonderland to your right, Three's beach to your left and Beauty's forest just in front of you. You can also make out an elaborate archway to the left of the forest. Everything looks beautiful and just glancing around fills you with a sense of purpose and belonging.]

AATHER (MAP)

AATHER (HALL OF DOORS)

[hunting]

[As you approach the Hall, you'll find a young man (minus the rabbit and roses/feathers) leaning back against the main door and glancing around him with a sharp, alert gaze. His clothes appear well-kept and freshly-pressed, with not a speck of dirt on them. Except for a few puffs grayish-white fuzz on his pants.

He is also wearing a mask.

He gives a faint nod of acknowledgement when he spots the heroes and moves away from the door.]

AATHER (BEACH)

[hunting]

[It's definitely Three's beach, with the ocean and everything. It appears pretty empty, but you might catch snatches of laughter amid the sound of the waves. In fact, they might be coming FROM the waves. One of the voices is Zero's. You may or may not recognize the other, depending. There's also some large paw prints throughout the sand, in the shape of ones that might be left by a large cat. Just standing there makes you feel incredibly relaxed.]

AATHER (ROSE GARDEN)

[You head for the archway and cross into what appears to be Maleficent's garden. There's a gray rose bush in the center, with a sword propped against one side and a kunai propped against the other. A turtle trundles nearby. You feel a sense of admiration but also an overpowering sense of displacement...]

AATHER (FOREST)

[hunting]

[The second you enter the forest, you hear a boisterous "Keeeeyaha!" Though there doesn't seem to be anyone around. :o All around you are excited animal noises. The forest is alive with sound and movement. You feel a rush of energy and something thrilling. This is your element.

A silver dish rests on the ground further ahead and there appear to be some specks of light up in the branches of some trees on either side (left or right) and something shiny printed on the trunk of yet another tree across from the dish, although you'll have to move closer to be able to tell what any of these are.

Just beyond the dish is a path leading out of the forest.]

AATHER (MAZE)

[As you step out of the forest, you'll walk into a mesh of tangled threads. You can see what looks like Wonderland's Maze through a few openings in the mass, but you'll have to do something about this obstruction if you hope to get any farther.]

AATHER (THE RING)

[hunting]

[As you head toward the Ring, you'll see a dog-sized incest with a black studded collar and blood red eyes staring straight at you. Its large branch antlers look especially sharp, as do its claws...]

AATHER (STERLING)

[hunting]

[As you approach Sterling, you see a red-haired man in a red coat standing by the door. He looks you over with a casual sweep of his eyes but says nothing. If you are familiar with Ace, you might notice that he's also missing his sword.

He is also wearing a mask.]

ACADEMY

[hunting]

[The building is massive and topped with triangular spires, giving it a type of Gothic feel. The fine bricks that constitute its surface seem to have befallen the same fate as the cobblestone path, as they show multiple signs of erosion and damage. The windows are in no better shape, allowing the wind and nature to enter them freely, should they choose. A little to the right of the building seems to be a small stable.]

ACADEMY (STABLE)

[You find yourself becoming more focused as you enter the stable. It's quiet and peaceful. There's only one stall, featuring a gorgeous white horse trying to reach for a bag that has been left hanging on the front of the stall. You'll also notice two different pairs of footsteps leading to and away from the stall. An Iolite jacket from Beauty's realm is strewn over the stall gate, just under the horse's reaching head. Something red is also tossed over the horse's back, but you'll have to get close to tell what.]

ACADEMY (MAIN HALL)

[Stepping in, you can see two spiraling marble staircases in the same condition as everything else in this area, dirty and cracked. One on the left and one on the right. You can also almost make out a figure standing further off in the distance, way down the main hall.]

ACADEMY (SUN DORM)

[hunting]

[Taking the right staircase leads you to a door with the symbol of the sun carved into its face. The door is covered in the same threads that you found at the front of the building.]

ACADEMY (MOON DORM)

[hunting]

[Taking the left staircase leads you to a door with a crescent moon carved onto its face. The door is covered in the same threads you found at the front of the building.]

ACADEMY (BLACK DOOR)

[hunting]

[The first thing you'll notice when you open the door is that the entire room is bright red, the walls, the floor, the ceiling. EVERYTHING.

A young man trains with a very familiar bone sabre in the center of the room. The red glow in his eyes is difficult to miss. He's also wearing a mask.

Just ahead of him is a table with a white container on top.

When your eyes adjust to the red of the room, you'll also notice the floor is covered in random items all around the room. That all happen to be covered in fresh blood... Um.

You can see:
- dragon-like claw,
- a hook,
- a pile of golden red feathers,
- a black heart with hummingbird symbol,
- a pile of fish scales,
- a broken clay plot
- a black crown with a pile of black feathers,
- child’s scary drawing,
- a lion pelt,
- a smoking jacket,
- the Green Knight’s head,
- a broken riding crop

There is also torn uniform, but the blood on that one appears much older.

The man is also standing on the hilt of a shattered sword, with the blood red pieces of the blade spread around him.]

ACADEMY (CELL]

[The quiet of this room is palatable as you enter. A sense of dread nearly prevents you from going further...

There are steel bars all around around and the floor is hard and uncovered. It also appears to be covered in dark stains heading toward the corner. If you try to see through the unlit room, you might make out a prone form toward the corner and another door in the back.]

SAKURA

[The sakura tree looms over you, feeling strangely foreboding. There is an eery quiet to this area and you might have to resist the urge to turn back around, as though there was something here you don't really want to face.]

SAKURA (OUTSIDE)

[What will you do?]

SAKURA (MAIN LEVEL)

[hunting]

[You manage to avoid the tree branches and push on the knob. An opening in the tree instantly appears, causing you to fall into it, based on where you were just standing.

When you recover, you'll find yourself in a quaint garden that you may or may not recognize as the one Citrine had in Three's realm. A boy with floppy rabbit ears in a Citrine outfit is busy watering a healthy-looking rose bush in a dark orange pot. He is also wearing a mask.

Around him are other black rose bushes in their own pots, ranging in colors such as more dark orange, bright yellow, orange, blue, dark purple, light purple and silver.

In the far back is also a wood bench, though it seems to be covered with some things.]

SAKURA (SUBLEVEL)

[hunting]

[You fall for a bit before landing on a soft bed of sakura petals. But as reassuring as that is, the rest of the atmosphere is far from. The same coppery smell from the river is all around you, though older and less fresh. The room appears to be the inside of a house, though it has been badly damaged, as if there was a terrible fight and blood stains are splashed across the walls and floor. You see two prone figures lying next to each other in the center of the room. There is also a sword lying just in front of them. Sakura petals are sprinkled throughout, though there is a particular large pile of them to the left of the bodies. The room carries a nearly smothering aura of despair.]
